Adelie – 7 days old | Baton Rouge Louisiana Newborn Photographer

This little doll came to visit me for her newborn portraits when she was 7 days old. She was SUCH a good sleeper and was my fastest session to date.  She was so sleepy and content and let me get all of my setups finished in less than 2 hours – without even waking up for a snack! Her mom and dad are the sweetest people to work with and were so in awe of their new little one. They just kept smiling at her the whole time – which I love to see.:) Here are a few of my favorites from Miss Adelie’s session…

Jude – 1 year old | Baton Rouge and Denham Springs Baby Photographer

Ugh! I have a love/hate relationship with doing these 1 year blog posts. I LOVE watching “my babies” grow throughout their first year. I love getting to know their little personalities and, quite honestly, I get a little attached to their parents as well. So…..it’s kind of bittersweet to me when they come in for their last session.:(Although Jude wasn’t an official JOY Planner, he did come to see me for his newborn, 6 month, and 1 year pictures and I LOVED getting to see how much he had changed each time. He has become such a happy, funny little guy and is definitely going to keep his mom and dad on their toes! We had such a fun time at his 1 year session. We recreated a few family pictures from his newborn session at mom’s request and we did a fun cake smash with his adorable sock monkey cake. Krista and Jeremy – thank you so much for allowing me to share Jude’s first year with you. You guys have been such a pleasure to work with and you have one of the most adorable little ones ever.:)Here are a few of my favorites from Jude’s session….

Chloe – 20 days old | Baton Rouge Newborn Photographer

This sweet girl came to see me when she was 20 days old. I normally prefer to have newborns in when they’re under 2 weeks old but I would NEVER turn someone away if their little one is older than that. (Some of my best babies have been 3 – 5 weeks old!) I do warn that I might not be able to get as many sleepy, curled up shots but Miss Chloe was absolutely perfect and let me pose her however I wanted.:) She loved being on her tummy and being wrapped up nice and tight so we did quite a few like that. These are just a few of my favorites from her session.:)
